Bucks County Commissioner Chairman Rob Loughery to seek another term

Bucks Local News

DOYLESTOWN >> Bucks County Commissioner Chairman Rob Loughery has announced his intentions to seek another term as county commissioner.

“I would like to share with my friends, supporters and Bucks County residents that I have made the decision to seek another term as a Bucks County Commissioner,” he said.

“We enjoy a remarkable quality of life in Bucks County,” he said. “However, Bucks County is not immune from these very challenging times. The demand on the critical services county government provides has grown in nearly every aspect of our work.”

During his two terms in office Loughery said he has worked diligently to come up with bipartisan solutions to the issues facing the community, including:

  • the opioid crisis;
  • overcrowding in county jails;
  • mental health issues and treatment needs for those suffering addiction;
  • infrastructure challenges in maintaining parks and bridges in first class condition; the lack of affordable housing available to young families, veterans and individuals with disabilities;
  • the need for businesses to find a skilled workforce so they can compete in this growing economy;
  • preserving farms and protecting natural areas; and
  • maintaining the county’s solid financial standing.

“If re-elected, I will continue to work to find solutions to address these and other challenges and work to Build a Better Future for Bucks County,” he said.
